Focus Group Ultrasound & AI

The objective of this focus group is to bring researchers, clinicians, and industry who are interested in the design and applications of (1) ultrasound-based computer assisted orthopedic surgery systems; and (2) artificial intelligence-based computer assisted orthopedic surgery systems.

Major objectives and activities:

  • Targeted engagement of active groups in the ultrasound image analysis and processing community both internal and external to CAOS.
  • Targeted engagement of active groups in the artificial intelligence in medical image analysis and processing community both internal and external to CAOS.
  • Increase the diversity of the CAOS workshops for those interested, by providing support, structure and access to the wider scientific community.
  • Expand the CAOS community and conference attendees to, but not limited to, clinical researchers involved in ultrasound-based and AI-based CAOS. This will include reaching out to the biomedical research community in applications that require knowledge on ultrasound and AI.
  • Generate an online platform for active communication among the different communities.
