The objective of this focus group is to bring researchers, clinicians, and industry who are interested in the design and applications of (1) ultrasound-based computer assisted orthopedic surgery systems; and (2) artificial intelligence-based computer assisted orthopedic surgery systems.
Major objectives and activities:
Targeted engagement of active groups in the ultrasound image analysis and processing community both internal and external to CAOS.
Targeted engagement of active groups in the artificial intelligence in medical image analysis and processing community both internal and external to CAOS.
Increase the diversity of the CAOS workshops for those interested, by providing support, structure and access to the wider scientific community.
Expand the CAOS community and conference attendees to, but not limited to, clinical researchers involved in ultrasound-based and AI-based CAOS. This will include reaching out to the biomedical research community in applications that require knowledge on ultrasound and AI.
Generate an online platform for active communication among the different communities.
