Dear Colleagues:
Welcome to the CAOS 2008 Hong Kong home page!
It is our greatest honor and pleasure to host the 8th Annual Meeting
of CAOS-International in Hong Kong in 2008. As you may have known, this will be the first time
CAOS-International is having their Annual Meeting in Asia. CAOS has been developed and
practiced actively in many Asian countries at the present moment. Under the guidance of
CAOS-International, the very active CAOS-Asia chapter has been organising their annual scientific
meetings since 2004. In 2008, together with the CAOS-International Annual Meeting,
CAOS-Asia will also
join the CAOS-International meeting. The newly established Chinese Society for Computer Assisted Surgery
in China would also join us in this important event. I believe this extended meeting will be an
extra-ordinary precious opportunity that this new technology and research activities to be promoted
and developed further in Asia. Through this very important annual event of CAOS-International,
world-renowned experts will meet together and share the experience and their vision on the development
of the CAOS.
The meeting will be held in the Hong Kong Convention Centre, which is the most popular and
well-equipped venue for International conferences in Hong Kong. We will have ample space for
presentations, workshops, discussion, and exhibits.
Early June in Hong Kong will have a very fine weather as it is the beginning of the summer.
2008 is also a very important year for Hong Kong and Asia as many international events will take
place in Hong Kong and Asia: 29th Olympic Games in Beijing,
China with Olympic Equestrian Games in Hong Kong, 24th SICOT
in Hong Kong, etc. We are committed to make the CAOS-International Annual Meeting one of the most
exciting meetings with both academic and social highlights in year 2008!
I look forward to welcoming you to Hong Kong in June 2008!
